Sea Eagles re-sign promising trio

This year’s leading try-scorer in The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, Clayton Faulolo, was among a trio of re-signings announced by the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles on Tuesday.

Faulolo joins promising youngsters Jamie Humphreys and Lehi Hopoate in extending their time with the Sea Eagles beyond 2023.

Faulolo starred for the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles NSW Cup team on their way to the finals in 2023 – crossing the try-line 29 times in 24 matches – and will now remain at the club for a further two seasons.

After a breakout 2023 that saw him named in the NSW Cup Team of the Year, Faulolo could be on track for a future NRL debut as he begins training full-time with the first grade side in 2024.

Humphreys, who can play both in the halves and at hooker, has signed a one-year deal. He has been a consistent performer in the Jersey Flegg Cup competition over the past two seasons and has made 13 NSW Cup appearances in that time.

In 2023 he also won the Sea Eagles’ Jersey Flegg Cup Players’ Player award.

Lehi Hopoate has been one of Manly Warringah’s best at Junior Representative level, being promoted from the UNE Harold Matthews Cup to SG Ball Cup captain this season, before earning a start in the Jersey Flegg Cup team later in 2023.

Hopoate has extended with the club for three more years.
