Warriors secure historic two points

The Warriors Under 19s have secured their first win in the NSWRL UNE SG Ball Cup with an impressive 48-12 win over the North Sydney Bears at Navigation Home Stadium. It is the debut season for the New Zealand club.

Despite the Bears scoring in the opening minute of the game, the Warriors hit back with two tries before half-time and finished the game strongly with five tries in total to the Bears one.

The Warriors had eight players crossing for a try, including winger Rapheal Sio who scored a double.

Manly make a statement in Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup

The Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles put on a masterclass on Saturday afternoon with a dominant 52-0 win over the St George Dragons.

After coming off a bye last week, Manly started their season impressively scoring 10 unanswered tries – including a hat-trick to utility Krystal Weekes.

Halfback Danii Nicole Gray scored 16 points – scoring the opening try along with kicking six out of 10 conversions – while Indiana Russell-Lia had a strong impact off the bench scoring a double in the 25thand 28th minute.

Title defence going strong for Roosters.

The Central Coast Roosters have staked their claim to go back-to-back in 2024, securing consecutive wins in the new season with a 26-22 defeat of the Northern Rivers Titans.

The tricolours started the game by scoring in the opening minute through winger Chase Kapua in the corner. They continued to keep their foot on the pedal scoring another three tries before half time.

Despite being down 20-0 at half time, a second-half surge from the Titans had the visitors scoring four tries in 19 minutes to put themselves back in the game.

They trailed by just four points but the Roosters early dominance proved crucial to winning the match.
