Mitchell Barnett sidelined after breaking thumb against Wests Tigers

One New Zealand Warriors co-captain Mitchell Barnett has been sidelined after breaking his right thumb in last Friday night’s round four loss to the Wests Tigers at Go Media Stadium.

He had surgery this week with a return to play date yet to be determined.

Making only his second appearance since returning from a knee operation, Barnett had a 52-minute stint against the Tigers.
