Westpac NSW Blues Women’s coach John Strange has reshuffled his squad for Game Two of the Ampol Women’s State of Origin series at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Thursday 14 May.
Sydney Roosters prop Rima Butler, who was part of the extended 20-player squad for Game One in Newcastle, has been named to make her debut off the bench. She replaces back-rower Tiana Penitani Gray, who sustained a knee injury in the opening game.
Wests Tigers forward Kezie Apps, who started from the bench in Game One, has been promoted to the starting side for Penitani Gray, while Hannah Southwell (St George Illawarra Dragons) has been added to the extended squad.
The Westpac NSW Blues Women won the opening game against Queensland 11-6 at McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
Following Game Two in Brisbane, Game Three will be played at Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast on Thursday 28 May.
The Westpac NSW Blues Women claimed the Ampol Women’s State of Origin Shield last year with a 2-1 win over Queensland.
