Kaiviti Silktails’ Jersey Flegg development program has celebrated another significant milestone, with three emerging Fijian talents signing long-term contracts with Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Sailosi Molikula, Fia Colati and Weni Turagaitoga will join the Sydney-based club from 2028 after being identified through the Kaiviti Silktails Elite Development Pathway Program, earning recognition for their outstanding performances on and off the field.
“Sailosi, Fia and Weni have demonstrated over an extended period that they possess the ability and potential to progress into the higher grades of Rugby League,” Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Pathways Coach Craig Wilson said.
“We have already witnessed the success of former Silktails players progressing through the Bulldogs pathways teams. The next challenge is to help these players take their development to another level and continue moving towards senior Rugby League.”
All three players, who are still under 19 years of age, will remain with Kaiviti Silktails for the 2026-27 seasons before joining the Bulldogs for their final year of Jersey Flegg eligibility in 2028. They will join fullback Seremiah Ramasima, taking the number to four of contracted Bulldogs players currently in the Silktails squad.
The Silktails are also expected to see another four players progress into the Bulldogs system, with Gabriel Rawaimila, Alipate Qoro, Noah Rauluni and Tevita Wanisi – who will age out of the program at the end of the season – poised to begin training with Canterbury’s senior part-time squad when the 2027 pre-season commences.
“These contracts are recognition of much more than Rugby League ability. They reflect the commitment these young men have shown to becoming quality people through our work, study and high-performance program,” Silktails CEO Stephen Driscoll said.
“The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs continue to provide an outstanding pathway for our players, and it is exciting to see another three young Fijians earn this opportunity.”
