The NSWRL's #RESPECT Program aims to promote a positive environment for all Rugby League participants and spectators and discourages negative behaviours. Through showing #RESPECT both on and off the field we can encourage more people to enjoy the greatest game of all.

In 2022, #RESPECT Round is proudly supported by McDonald's and together we are encouraging all Community Rugby League Clubs across the state to take the #RESPECT pledge.

We are asking Clubs to join together and pledge their support of Referees on game-day across the weekend of 14-15 May and encourage respectful interaction with them by all of our players, team staff and supporters.

Participants can get involved on the day by snapping a picture at the start of each game with the players and referees holding a thumbs up.

Don't forget to tag @NSWRL and #RESPECT.

The #RESPECT campaign started in 2016 with about 16,000 pledges being made online and a push to reintroduce shaking hands before games in line with the NSWRL’s vision to eliminate poor behaviour and promote a positive environment for all players, coaches, referees, volunteers and families.
