#RESPECT

The NSWRL's #RESPECT Program aims to promote a positive environment for all Rugby League participants and spectators and discourages negative behaviours. Through showing #RESPECT both on and off the field we can encourage more people to enjoy the greatest game of all.

In 2018 all NSWRL Junior League team Managers have been issued a Compendium including a host of relevant information to make their task easier and promote the game's policies.

"Shoosh for Kids" Round – 19-20 May

As a part of the NSWRL #RESPECT campaign, Junior Leagues around Sydney will take part in the NSW Office of Sport "Shoosh for Kids" Week in May. This program aims to reduce negative spectator comments at junior sport and fits in well with the #RESPECT campaign.

All spectators are encouraged to remain quiet during children's sporting events. During this round, spectators should applaud children's performances and refrain from making any negative comments.

Simply submit your video (no longer than two minutes) using the #Respect hashtag via either of the following channels:

Nominations are due by the end of each month, with final submissions accepted on 31 August.

2018 #RESPECT Round Another Success

Thank you to all clubs and teams who took an active role in #RESPECT Round to launch the NSWRL Junior League season. Hundreds of photos were shared on social media (below) and plenty of positive messages were shared reflecting a positive attitude to the start of another Junior League season.

The weekend also saw a massive surge in the number of Junior League club members taking the Respect Pledge.
