There’s no more important day on the Australian calendar than Anzac Day.

This Anzac Day 2015 marks the 100th anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli and to mark this significant occasion we at NSWRL pay tribute to Australia’s Servicemen and Servicewomen, both past and present, who have served and paid the utmost sacrifice in defence of our country.

At Harold Matthews and SG Ball finals double-headers at both Campbelltown and Leichhardt this Saturday, the opening matches at each venue will be preceded by The Ode, The Last Post, a minute’s silence, Rouse and the national anthem – helping the younger generation understand the sacrifices our veterans have made for all of us.

Anzac Day is the day we remember all of Australia’s Defence Personnel and the spirit of Anzac, with its qualities of mateship, courage and sacrifice, which continue to impact our lives 100 years on.

The NSWRL thanks and pays tribute to those extraordinary men and women who have made it possible for us to live in a country full of prosperity.

To all who have served this country, thank you. Lest We Forget.
