The NSWRL will run a referees training course with former NRL referee Gavin Badger at the NSWRL Centre of Excellence at Sydney Olympic Park on Sunday 7 March and Sunday 21 March.
The course is open to participants aged 13 years and over and will involve two stages including an online module and face-to-face instruction.
The course content includes role of a referee, competencies of a referee, legal responsibilities, code of conduct, personality traits and qualities of a referee, communication, laws of the game, junior league laws, safe play code, practical refereeing, touch judging and Tag Rugby League.
