Nickname: ElleAfter scoring a try on debut in Game One, Johnston made 47 post-contact metres in eight hit-ups during her 31 minutes on the field in Game Two. She also made 14 tackles without a miss giving her a 100 per cent efficiency rate for the series so far after 16 perfect tackles in Game One.
Johnston was on the extended NSW bench in the 2023 and 2024 series, but her NRLW form for Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks helped earn her a starting spot in the Blues front row this year. She has been runner up in two NRLW Grand Finals – with Parramatta Eels in 2022 and the Sharks in 2024, but now can lay claim to being an Origin series winner.
