CABE Physical Disability Rugby League City no.7 Bryce Crane had a standout performance for his team helping to defeat Country 26-14 at Kogarah’s Jubilee Stadium today.
Seamlessly guiding his team around the park, Crane also managed to score three brilliant individual tries as well as being solid off the tee kicking three conversions earning him Player of the Match honours.
Crane’s first try came in the fourth minute – kicking the ball from the 40m line before chasing the ball down field to regather and score.
City went back-to-back in the eighth minute through winger Cooper Robb-Jackson who sprinted down the touch line, running almost the full length of the field to score.
Country found their first points of the morning in the 11th minute when the No.6 put up a high kick to the left corner for Ben Trapell to catch and plant the ball down in the in-goal area.
City extended their lead out to 12 points, once again through Crane who jumped out of dummy half to dart towards the try line before passing the ball out to Brett Weiss who scored in the corner.
Crane bagged his hat-trick early in the second half, scoring his second in the 21st minute through a chip and chase before racing down the sideline only minutes later to score his third try of the day.
Country found momentum towards the back end of the second half scoring two tries through Jaylen Martin and Jakai Smith to bring the score to 26-14 at full-time.
